Documentaries are where my heart is. I love sharing someone’s story, a nation’s story, I always say “everyone has a story”.

As you can see in the following list of films, I mix culture with modern elements.

Films cut for Social Media

More Than A Game

For my final assignment in film school I wanted to share the modern day war, on the hardwood at the annual All Native Basketball Tournament in Prince Rupert B.C.

Village Boys

Inspired by the Maaqtusiis Suns. A short montage coincided with some Snotty Nose Rez Kids vocals to hype the Suns run to Finals.

Let Me Let you go

My best friend and I traveled down to California, it lowkey looks like I broke up with her. Poem by Chad Charlie.

Ahousaht from the sky.

Drone footage of Ahousaht ft. Stormzy & Soul Shakers

Tripartite Agreement, Heiltsuk Nation Title & Rights: Tuigila Agreement Signing

I had the great privilege of documenting this historic event for the Heiltsuk Nation at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Love: A Whaler's Story

A short biopic about my cousin Shawn Atleo, hereditary Chief of Ahousaht, and former National Chief for Assembly of First Nations. The biopic reveals the parallels between our great grandfather Kiista, the last whaling chief of Ahousaht who in his time caught four whales, and how Shawn has caught his modern day “whales”.

Culture meets the modern day lady

Hayley Morin & I had the privilege of working with up and coming fashion designer from West Bank, B.C, Krystal Withakay.

Long before film school my company name was: Brown Power Productions. I didn’t just create films, I would be hired to take photographs, I recorded potlaches for families and created CDs for people. I recorded the Soul Shakers’ first CD back in 2005 and sold nearly 1500 copies. I called my self Brown Power Productions because after I heard the first Soul Shakers recording I said to my friend “that was some brown power”. I knew before I was graduating from film school that I wanted to change my company name, I felt like I out grew it. Spring of 2017 I changed it to: White Wolf. The following videos are what I created under Brown Power Productions.

Kutinkšiƛ Maatmaas: Walking Hand in Hand With All Nations

I was hired by Ahousaht Education Authority (AEA) and Imperial Metals to create short documentaries sharing Ahousaht’s history, traditional governance, and song and dances.

This shares the 13 year war story between the Ahousaht & Otsoosaht which resulted in the amalgamation of Ahousaht.

Ḥaw̓ił Patak Ḥawiih

In the second instalment of Ahousaht History Project with AEA & Imperial Metals, this film shares the rich history of ʕa-ḥu-sʔatḥs (Ahousaht's) Principal Chiefs. What their roles and responsibilities are and their family lineage. As well as other stories concerning our traditional governance system.
